Mirko is a talented self-taught artist. Continue to broaden my experience by following various creative studies which has enabled me to move further towards my interest in contemporary abstraction, and to find my personal voice. Gaining inspiration from a range of sources including serene landscapes, classical music and the joy of his grandchildren as he watches them sing and dance around, he creates abstract works marked by technical expertise and an emotional backbone.

The experience of a place is the starting point for my paintings. The meaning and the mood of the painting unfolds intuitively and abstractly as many layers of paints are added and subtracted, and as colors, shapes, textures, and marks are evolved throughout a delicate control.
